FAQ on my Workflow Package

Posted by on Jun 15, 2013 in blog | Leave a comment

My new workflow package has been selling very well and I’m happy about that, but there is some regular questions that I get, here is some FAQ regading the package in case you are hesitating about purchasing it :

Bridge La tournelle Paris

Bridge La tournelle Paris

Q: What is the difference between this training and your Lightroom or Photoshop training ?

A: It is the only training I did where I show you how I shot the photos. I think this makes a great difference as it gives more visual examples on how to make a good photo and how simple it can be. I went to several places in Paris with a cameraman and explained what type of camera settings I use. You will see the photos being taken with their F/Stop- Speed values and how they look right out of the camera. You can see how I make long exposures, with with type of filters, the mistakes that I do or when I get it right.

I also go to Israel and show you some shooting from there, a good way to travel !

Q: If I already bought your Lightroom and photoshop training, will I still learn something ?

A: Absolutely, because this is my real workflow, it

is a not a training so that can you learn Photoshop or Lightroom (you will in the process off course), it is how I work as a photographer on the day to day basic.

I get ask, how I took this photo ?  what settings?  what filters?  if I do workshops ?  well that is how close to a workshop you get. This is they type of videos I learned the most from.

I said it before, it took me quite some time to make this training and I’m proud it and really hope that you do get something out of it !

How can I watch the videos on the Ipad ?

Q: You can the videos are optimized for the Ipad !

1. Connect your Iphone or iPad to your Mac or PC. iTunes should start.

2. Drag and drop the videos that you bought to the iTunes Icon.

3. Select your iPad in iTunes, go to the video tab and mark the videos that should now appear to be synch.

4. Synch your iPad and the videos are on your device ready to be seen with the video app that is there.

A: Can I watch the videos on windows ?

Sure ! They are in H264 Quicktime, probably the most-used format on the web, if your regular player doesn’t do the job, VLC or Quicktime for windows will.

A. VLC for windows here is the link

Quicktime for windows here is the link

My full workflow package by Serge Ramelli

Posted by on Jun 8, 2013 in blog, podcast | Leave a comment

I’m happy to annonce that I completed my full workflow training package. The idea was to show photographers how I’m taking my photos, camera settings, compositions, moments of the day. Give the raw files and show the full retouch. I thought this would be the most effective way to learn photography, for those that like my style off course :-)

My wife filmed me shooting  in Paris and Israel, at night and in the morning. In total in more then 3 hours of videos and 30 raw files. I wish I could have bought something like that when I started photography years ago. I tried to keep the price as low as possible, but this one did cost me quite some money to produce !

So The regular price is 67$ and I’m promoting as a release price of 47$.

Here are is a little teaser on this training

How to make an amazing landscape photo with Lightroom 4 – PLP # 46 by Serge Ramelli

Posted by on Jun 5, 2013 in blog, podcast | 1 Comment

In this tutorial, I will show you my full workflow from A to Z on how to get back all the colors of an early sunset and make a landscape pop.

We are going to use Lightroom only tools.

When you take a photo with auto white balance on and if you have a bit of red in the sky, you loose it. It’s there somewhere in the raw file. Off course if you warm up the white balance you will add red and yellow, but not as much if it is already there.

I remenber that when I took this photo, at the Saint marco Plaza in Venise Italy, I was so disapointed by the raw preview in Lightroom that I didn’t bother to retouch it. Weeks later I came to it as I was wondering why did it look so blue :

It’s an easy photo to take because apart from the boats passing you are not disturb by bodies. All you need to have is a nice sky. And it was. So I took on the revenge of getting that sky back, and here is the final retouch. I saturated even more the sky, but that’s how I like them :
