"I have started viewing the tutorial and so far find it to be a really well done. While I am only in lesson one, it is covering those areas that I want to know more about in a way that is easy to understand. I am looking forward to completing that lesson then starting this one."
"This is an outstanding tutorial for those photographers looking to learn the basics of Lightroom 3. This app is really well designed and Serge's instruction is clear and informative. I quickly upgraded from the free version to get the additional training modules and I'm glad I did."
"Just like all the tutorials from Serge, full of resources. Thanks!"

«I always wanted to learn how to do that ! "
Great Apps, I have been able to lear the new Lightroom 4 in no time !
Lightroom 4 Quickstart
Great Learning Tool! - I recently spent $50 on an online Lightroom 4 course. This $5 app puts that course to shame! These videos are excellent and very informative. I am self-taught on LR3, and now learning all kinds of tricks on LR4! Don't pass this up!
I downloaded both the Photoshop and the Lightroom app. I get a message that not all the data was downloaded and to check the Internet connection and try again. I have tried three times with the same results. There may be a problem with the app as no audio is downloaded.
I went back and did a « re-boot » of my iPad and iPhone and made sure the silent mode switch was turned off. This seemed to correct the problem as I was able to download both the Lightroom and the Photoshop App to both devices and have started viewing the lessons. At first glance the lessons look to be very well presented and cover those areas that I feel will help me in learning both these programs. I look forward to completing them and then having them as a reference for the future.
I have always used Photoshop CS5 for my editing and retouching, until now. Within the space of 2 segments I felt confident in using the tools and application as it was meant to be used. My end product is better for using Lightroom and I have more subtle control over the retouching process.
Thanks for a very good and well presented tutorial and at a fantastic price point. If ever you decide to do a companion advanced tutorial, I will be first in the cue.

It’s a refreshing change to come across a tuition video that talks about transmitting emotion through our editing rather than adhering to a set of ‘rules’ and complying with a set of ‘standards’ that are merely a reflection of current values or some else’s opinions. This author talks about expressing our feelings and about how this software can help us communicate with others an experience or emotion that a scene or picture gave us.
All the lessons together create a broad and confident grasp of how the Lightroom software works and how to use it. The lessons are littered with tips, suggestions and illustrations of how to build on and develop our initial image. The enthusiasm with which the lesson is delivered is extremely engaging and this is also coupled with the intriguing process of seeing a series of apparently unpromising images changed into visually appealing and charged pictures.
As a way of learning Lightroom I have found these lessons to be easy to absorb, clear and useful. The processes taught are always predicated on the fact that decisions about what is ‘good’ or ‘bad’ in a photograph are driven by how we individually react to that picture. That message helps the photographer develop their approach and find their voice rather than just learning to conform with someone else’s ideas.
I strongly recommend this software as both a way of learning ‘Lightroom’ but also as a way of developing an overall approach to photography – Excellent.
Hi Serge,
Downloaded LR4 retouching app – video presentation is excellent on the new iPad. Audio seems however to struggle to keep pace with the tutorial and keeps dropping out. I’m finding I need to keep pausing the video to allow the audio to catch up.
Am I able to adjust somehow to remedy.
Regards,
Steve.
Hi there
I was just about to buy the retouching app. Does it download the videos on to my phone so I can watch offline. The free version seems to stream from the web.
Bought CS5 photographer’s basics from Google Play. When I click any of the tutorials, the appl goes to youtube and I receive a msg like : this is a private video or similiar …
What is wrong ? Why Cant I watch the video ?
Hi! I wanted to ask you, why is « Lightroom retouching! » not available for streaming? I don’t own, an iPhone, nor have a telephone with android, so streaming the videos is the best option for me. I can buy the « Lightroom 4 Quick Start » stream but there isn’t an option for retouching. Do I have any alternative?

I have purchased and both Lightroom 4 and Photoshop app’s but am unable to find the images to work along with your tutorial. Please will you help, as both tutorial look good and cannot wait to get started.
