Lightroom Basics Tutorial on the App Store

Lightroom Basics Tutorial App for Android and iOS

Lightroom Basics, an iOS and Android Tutorial App that gets you retouching within 2 hours.

This tutorial which I recorded is based on many years of experience with Lightroom, the best photo retouching software I have every used. Having mastered the software I wanted to create a tutorial that takes a beginning rapidly through the basics of Lightroom and into retouching. I’ve personally done hundreds of hours of training on Lightroom and I have used it for thousands of hours. But I find that the learning curve for a beginner is sometimes steep.

So I created this tutorial app so you and anyone you know start retouching your pics fast.

Now that you’ve shot great pics, let’s get them out of the camera and shown. This application is all about that.

Frequently Asked Question regarding the app:

« I installed the app and reinstalled it but there is no audio »
To have audio on the app you need to switch your phone from silent mode to normal mode. For some reason the videos play without audio when the phone is on silent mode.

I downloaded both the Photoshop and the Lightroom app. I get a message that not all the data was downloaded and to check the Internet connection and try again. I have tried three times with the same results. There may be a problem with the app as no audio is downloaded.

    Dear David,
As we went over by mail, the audio is not on if your silent mode is switch on, just turn silent mode off and the audio should be there !

    Tks for buying the apps.

I went back and did a « re-boot » of my iPad and iPhone and made sure the silent mode switch was turned off. This seemed to correct the problem as I was able to download both the Lightroom and the Photoshop App to both devices and have started viewing the lessons. At first glance the lessons look to be very well presented and cover those areas that I feel will help me in learning both these programs. I look forward to completing them and then having them as a reference for the future.

I have always used Photoshop CS5 for my editing and retouching, until now. Within the space of 2 segments I felt confident in using the tools and application as it was meant to be used. My end product is better for using Lightroom and I have more subtle control over the retouching process.

Thanks for a very good and well presented tutorial and at a fantastic price point. If ever you decide to do a companion advanced tutorial, I will be first in the cue.

Thanks once again from an aspiring photographer.
